"Woodbridge Record" an early settler of New Haven, who commanded the 'Phantom' ship which sailed in 1646 and was lost with all on board
"A Genealogical Register of the First Settlers of New-England ..." a captain in the Pequot war, was of Lynn in 1630, moved to New Haven 1638, was one of the purchasers of Stamford from the Indians in 1640. He was lost at sea in the same ship with Thomas Gregson, Mr. Lamberton & others who sailed from New Haven in Jan 1646.
Chuck Hanson's Genealogy Page: He was in Lynn, Ma by October of 1630; admitted as a freeman July 3 1632; representative in the first seven sessions of the General Court and a member of the first County Court at Salem in 1636. He had command in several expeditions against the Pequots. In 1638 he sold his land in Lynn, and removed with others to the new settlement of New Haven. In 1640 he purchased from Ponus, the Sagamare Indian chief, the tract of land which is now the Town of Stamford, CT. He was lost at sea in 1647, on Capt. Lamberton's vessel which was on it's way to England
