One account says that Sarah's mother was Mercy Durkee and another says Anne Choate. So I am not certain which is correct.
An account of Sarah on Internet says that she married Manassah Martin in 1749 at Pawling/Dover (Dover was formed from Pawling). I question the date since she had a child by her first husband in 1750.
Sarah and second husband, Manassah Martin, settled at Quaker Hill, Dutchess Co, NY, and had 8 more children. Sarah & Manassah had the same surname and may have been related. Quaker Hill, NY, was rather close to Merryall & New Milford, CT, where her first husband, John Marsh and his brother Elihu, had owned land. Her son, John, Jr., also settled at New Milford.
She made her will on 3/5/1786 and it was probated on 5/22/1792. She listed only 2 of the Martin children as heirs, John & George, and 6 of her Marsh children: John, Abraham, Sarah, Susannah, Mary and Hannah. One source thought that William & Daniel Marsh were her children, but they are not mentioned in her will. They were probably sons of Rev. William Marsh, her first husband's brother.
