Overview

Research in Astronomy & Astrophysics at the University of Kentucky covers the theory and observation of stars, galaxies, and interstellar gas. Members of the astronomy group are actively carrying out research into galaxy formation and evolution, the study of black holes and active galactic nuclei, computational astrophysics, interstellar magnetic fields, and the stellar populations of the Milky Way.
