Research Interests
My research interests involve the use of electromagnetic
probes (photons and electrons) to study mesons and baryons at the
quark level. I was part of the collaboration which built the
Moeller polarimeter for Hall A of the Thomas Jefferson National
Accelerator Facilty (TJNAF). This device has been used in a variety
of experiments to measure parity violating electron scattering on
the proton, the electric form factor of the proton, and polarization
effects in complex nuclei. I am currently spokesperson for two experiments
to measure properties of the neutral pi meson as fundamental tests of
quantum chromodynamics. One experiment will use the Hall A Moeller
polarimeter as a small angle spectrometer, and the other will use the
Hall B photon tagging facility.
