I will present an astronomical approach to addressing the possibility that fundamental physical constants vary over cosmic time. The primary focus will be on unusual properties of molecular structure that provide precise probes of the fine structure constant, the ratio of electron to proton mass, and the proton g-factor, with an emphasis on understanding systematic uncertainties. The main challenge at this time is in finding appropriate high-redshift astrophysical laboratories to apply our methods, and I will discuss the methods and the recent results of this search.
