Shedding Light on Dark Matter
''
The existence of dark matter in the cosmos is established
if we assume that gravity is understood.
Observational evidence demands that dark matter be stable on Gigayear time scales and that
its energy fraction in the cosmos today exceed that of ordinary matter
by a factor of a few. I will describe how observational and experimental
studies of light after its passage through dark matter
probe symmetries which can explain these observed features.
Refreshments will be served in CP 179 at 3:15 PM |
