"Gauge and Gravitational Anomalies''

We review the algebra of gauge field anomalies of Wess & Zumino and some of its applications. Anomalies associated with U(1) fields are directly tied to Dirac's original monopole construction and its extension to extra dimensions. We show how gravity is incorporated by the Bardeen-Zumino formalism.
