" Understanding Baryon Masses in QCD ''

Recently, there has been progress made in understanding the spectrum of baryon masses. A new mass hierarchy has been discovered for the ground state baryons. Mass predictions for baryons containing a single charm or bottom heavy quark also were made. The recent discoveries of the Ξb-, Σb and Σb* baryons are in excellent agreement with these predictions.
