Large scale numerical calculations of bulk properties
of strongly interacting matter form the basis for a better
understanding of the phase diagram of Quantum Chromo Dynamics (QCD)
and yield basic input for the modeling on heavy ion collisions in
hydrodynamic models. We will introduce basic aspects of these
calculations, performed in the framework of lattice regularized QCD,
discuss our current understanding of the phase diagram and present
recent results from calculations of the equation of state of strongly
interacting matter.
Refreshments will be served in CP 177 at 3:15 PM |
