Quantum Gravity for Beginners: An Introductory Survey
The reconciliation of Einstein's theory of general relativity with quantum theory into a consistent theory of quantum gravity, possibly unifying all interactions, is probably the greatest challenge of 21st century physics. In this talk I will review some of the technical and conceptual issues at an introductory level, and motivate and describe the main approaches.
