"Role of Neutrino Flavors in Astrophysics''

Estimates of high-energy astrophysical neutrino fluxes suggest that astro-neutrinos will be detected in the next few years. Astro-neutrinos bring with them information on the direction to their source, the energy spectrum of the source, and intrinsic neutrino-flavor information. We will overview the field of Neutrino Astronomy, and then discuss how astro-neutrino flavor measurements will provide information on source dynamics, and on neutrino properties including lifetime and mass-matrix.

Refreshments will be served in CP 179 at 3:15 PM
