Postdoctoral Opening in Theoretical and Computational Condensed Matter Physics

The Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Kentucky invites applications for a postdoctoral position in theoretical/computational condensed matter physics starting in Lexington, KY in the Fall of 2011. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in condensed matter physics. The chosen candidate will work under the supervision of Prof. Ribhu Kaul. The main area of research to be carried out is numerical quantum condensed matter physics, with an emphasis on quantum criticality and magnetism. Expertise in these fields will be very helpful, though not required. UKY has a very active condensed matter group and interaction with other members of our group will be strongly encouraged. Lexington is an enjoyable city to live in; you can learn more about it here.
