Abstract SubmissionDeadline for all abstracts: 1 June 2009The following instructions apply to abstracts both for invited talks and contributed posters.
Abstracts should be submitted in PDF format via email to the conference organizers.
Abstracts should be written in English. The length of each abstract is limited to one page. Templates are available for LaTeX and MS:Word. The LaTeX template contains a picture. If you want to test compiling our sample LaTeX template file, you might want to download the same picture we used, which is available in eps format. Note: if you are using LaTex, you will have to specify the paper size in the process of creating the pdf file. For example, if you are creating the pdf file directly from a dvi file you can use dvipdfm -p letter or, if you are first making a postscript file you can use dvips -t letter. It is your responsibility to check that the abstract is correctly formatted and readable. No changes to the submitted abstracts will be made by the conference organizers. Abstracts should be in Letter - not A4 - format (215.9 mm x 279.4 mm, i.e., 8.5 inches x 11 inches). Please ensure that the PDF document you submit is in letter format. All text and figures must fit within side, top, and bottom margins of 2 cm. Use 11-pt Roman (LaTeX) default font or a similar font such as Times New Roman throughout the abstract. The title should be typed in 14-pt boldface letters and centered. If necessary, use a second line, single-spaced just below the first. Leave two lines before the names of the authors and again before the single-spaced affiliations and addresses. Figures will be shown in color on the web. Give each figure a separate concise caption. If you choose to submit color figures remember that most printouts from the web will be in black and white. It is your responsibility to ensure that the figures are easy to read and understand even in grayscale mode. References in the text should be indicated using numerals in square brackets; e.g., [1]. The list of references in 9-pt size letters follows the last line of the text with one extra line inserted. Follow the style of the Institute of Physics, as used in the Journal of Physics B. |
