An overhead view of the Very Large Array (VLA), the world's largest interferometric radio telescope. The VLA is located on the plains of San Augustine in New Mexico. Radio astronomers at the University of Kentucky frequently use the VLA for their observations.
The VLA is operated by the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO), which is a facility of the National Science Foundation (NSF), operated under cooperative agreement by Associated Universities, Inc. (AUI).
