Welcome to the Phy 306 web page....

A lecture and problems course on the applications in physics of vector calculus, Fourier series and transforms, special functions and asymptotic forms.
Prereq or concur: MA 214. (excerpted from the U.K. Bulletin)

Phy 306 serves as a preparatory theoretical course for the 400- and 500-level courses in physics. It is typically taken after Phy 231 (Mechanics), Phy 228 (Relativity, Optics, and Thermal Physics), and Phy 232 (Electricity & Magnetism) and concurrently with Phy 361 (Modern Physics).
