Welcome to the Phy 520 web page....

A lecture and problem course providing an introduction to the concepts and formalism of quantum mechanics. Primary emphasis is on the time-independent Schrodinger equation and its applications to simple systems such as the harmonic oscillator, the square-well potential, and the hydrogen atom without spin. Prereq: PHY 361, MA 214. For the detailed content of Phy 520 this semester, pls. see the syllabus.
