A lecture and problem course providing an overview of our current understanding of the symmetries, both exact and approximate, that provide the theoretical basis for our description of the electromagnetic, weak, and strong interactions.

Prereq or equivalent: Phy 614, 615. [Phy 616 strongly encouraged.]
