We (AG and DSD) had a meeting with Javier Gomez.
*Separate Ethernet lines for CODA and EPICS. Some info can be passed.
*Crate controllers
Javier says we need 8MB for EPICS. Separate controller (4 MB) for CODA, but Eves from the French group says Hall B working on running both from 8 MB controller.
*If all control in VME, can put it in Hall A general purpose VME crate. We wouldn't run EPICS.
*If we read or write something in CAMAC we have to write driver. (May not be a big deal.) Or, put that stuff in VME. This is an incentive for Kharkov people to put control in VME.
*HV mainframe already bought by CEBAF. Bogdan may even have cards for us. More info after PANIC. HV software should exist.
*Javier says run CODA for DAQ.
*To run EPICS at Kentucky very expensive. Around 20k$ additional.
*For CODA, need to bring Bob Michaels VME processor to install code.
*Can get adaptor from CEBAF. (Done)
*All magnets controlled by accelerator people.
*Control
Need several stepper motors:
target
collimator
Read NMR
*On another subject, Mike Finn says helicity for parity will be flipped at 30 Hz.
Respectfully submitted, 6/7, DSD.
