This is a β-version of a demo for showing the expanding universe.
This demonstration begins some time after the big bang, and shows 21
"objects" in the universe.
When you start (play) the
applet, the universe continues its expansion.
The original positions continue to be shown for comparison.
Do objects closer to the center move faster, slower, or at the same speed
as things further from the center?
Does it really matter what you call the center?
(Hint: to make an object "the center", click on it or its
original position.)
What are the differences between the different types of universe?
What are the similarities?
Which one(s) end(s) in a big crunch?
