Ray LeBeau received his Ph.D. in Planetary Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on CFD models of planetary atmospheres. His current areas of research include the validation of hybrid turbulence models such as detached-eddy simulation (DES), the development of high-power, low-cost optimized CFD/PC cluster systems , and the application of engineering turbulence techniques to planetary boundary layers (PBL's). Dr. LeBeau received a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering and a M.S. in Engineering Physics from the University of Virginia.
