Beam Telescope

The beam was monitored by a package of four identical beam telescopes made of plastic scintillators with a total thickness of 0.635 cm and efficiency $>$ 99$\%$ (26). A pair of top and bottom mounted photomultiplier tubes were connected to each layer of the beam scintillators and the light output was read out through eight CAMAC ADC channels, four CAMAC TDC channels and four FBTDC channels for pulse height amplitude and time information. Time resolution of the CAMAC TDC's was 1/20 ns, but recorded only single hits, while the time resolution of the FBTDC's was 2 ns, but allowed multi-hits.
