Solid Targets

A solid CH$_2$ target disk with 0.83 cm thickness and 4 cm radius was used during the run of May-June, 1997 for trigger and acceptance studies using at-rest $\pi^- p \rightarrow \gamma n$ and $\pi^- p \rightarrow \pi^o n$ data. Measurements on a solid Carbon target of similar dimensions was used for background subtraction.
