Results

In Section 6.1 we describe the determination of two-photon acceptance of the RMC detector. In Section 6.2 we present the subtraction of the remaining two-photon backgrounds from the signal. Determination of the final set of $\pi ^-p\rightarrow \gamma \gamma n$ events and calculation of the two-photon branching ratio is presented in Sections 6.3 and 6.4. A test of sensitivity of our measured branching ratio to various energy-angle cuts is described in Section 6.5.
