If we wanted an indicator light to tell whether the toaster is
on, we could use a parallel circuit or a series circuit
The heater in a toaster is just a resistor. It's actually a
rather low resistance, so that a big current flows and lots of
power is turned into heat. Look inside your toaster, and you will
see these wires -- they look quite a bit like the diagram!
The red circle indicates where the indicator light is to be
placed in each circuit. What are the advantages of each design?
