Suppose you wanted to look at the computer screen with the same lens
you just studied, and you are viewing the screen from a distance of 50
cm.
You just found that when a light bulb is 50 cm from an white card,
there are two places to put the lens that will give an image on the card.
What will you see if you look at the computer screen through a
lens held at one of these distances from your eye?
Notice that this will put an image of the screen on your
face, and you will now be seeing what a bug walking
on the white card would see if it walked into the image of the light
bulb.
The purpose of this part of the activity is to show
how the light gets from the source to the image; we have
already done versions of this on the previous page.
