Do the activities "Siphons #2 Does a siphon system flow in two different
directions?" and "Siphons #3 Does water in a siphon always flow at the
same rate?" in the manual.
Whenever you are instructed to "do an activity" throughout this
workshop, please write up the activity in your journals. In some
cases you can use copies of the teacher manual pages if you want and attach
them in your journal. We will ask to see your journals at the end
of the workshop.
Before you go on, discuss these questions:
If we connect two containers with different amounts of water in them
by a siphon, what will the result be, after a very long time?
What will happen if Joe raises the end of the tube too high? How high
is "too high"?
