Driving Directions to the UK Department of Physics and Astronomy

From I-75 South/I-64 East or West:

Take first Lexington exit (Rt. 922). Turn R at bottom of ramp onto Newtown Pike. Follow about 4 miles to Main Street (soon after RR crossing). Turn L; follow past fountain, Broadway, Limestone St., to Rose St. Turn R; go thru 4 lights (High, Maxwell, Euclid, Columbia). Just after 4th light, you will see the Chemistry-Physics Bldg on R. Turn R into parking lot; tell attendant you are a physics department visitor and park at a meter. Physics department office is in Room 177, at opposite (north) end of building.

From I-64 West:

Take Exit 113 (marked Paris/Lexington). Turn right off the exit ramp onto North Broadway (US 68). Follow through downtown for 3.5 miles. One block past Hyatt Regency Lexington, turn left onto West Maxwell Street. At the 5th light, turn right onto Rose Street. Just after 2nd light, you will see the Chemistry-Physics Bldg on R. Turn R into parking lot; tell attendant you are a physics department visitor and park at a meter. Physics department office is in Room 177, at opposite (north) end of building.

From I-75 North:

Take Exit 104 (marked Athens/Lexington). Turn left off the ramp onto Athens-Boonesboro Road and folow for 8.2 miles to downtown. Turn left onto Rose STreet. Just after the 5th traffic light, you will see the Chemistry-Physics Bldg on R. Turn R into parking lot; tell attendant you are a visitor and park at a meter. Physics department office is in Room 177, at opposite (north) end of building.

From Bluegrass Parkway:

Turn right off the exit onto Route 60 (Versailles Road). Follow until it becomes a one-way street, West Maxwell Street. At the 6th traffic light, turn right onto Rose Street. Just after 2nd light, you will see the Chemistry-Physics Bldg on R. Turn R into parking lot; tell attendant you are a physics department visitor and park at a meter. Physics department office is in Room 177, at opposite (north) end of building.
