Condensed Matter Group @ UKY.EDU

Overview

Research in the condensed matter group at the University of Kentucky covers a wide range of experimental and theoretical work, with a focus on the unusual manifestations of quantum physics in novel materials. Topics studied here include, e.g., synthesis and study of complex materials, the quantum Hall effect and mesoscopic physics. At the University of Kentucky we host two important federally funded centers, the Center for Advanced Materials and the Center for Computational Sciences, that play a very important role in providing vital infrastructure required for the research carried out by our group.
