Overview

High Energy physics studies the properties and interactions of fundamental particles in nature to understand the fundamental physics and evolution of the Universe. These studies strongly overlap with Astrophysics and Cosmology. At the University of Kentucky we host two important federally funded centers, the Center for Advanced Materials and the Center for Computational Sciences, that play a very important role in providing vital infrastructure required for the research carried out by our group.
