Libertad:
developping technique how to wind 19 coils with 70 cm diameter and about 100 turns. The ross section of the coils can be rectangular, plastic can be maybe used as a coil frame since only 10 W per coil heat is produced

- calculated field for square coils with 70 cm inner dimension
- field looks good, still optimizing field uniformity
- conservative calculation of adiabaticity parameter well within limits
- will send model to Tim to incorporate into NPDG cave model after final design

- we have to study if we can

• make solenoid shorter at the end to allow better access and have space
• can we live without 2nd lead wall. This would make solenoid easier to fab and mount
• Chris will talk to Libertad to find the schedule for the solenoid

2014-09-18 Magnetometer Calibration

The algorithm notes and codes cal_field.m and fit_sym.m used to calibrate the magnetometer. The probe was mounted in a rectangular sled, and rotated in 16 different orientations, each symmetries of the cube, and field measurements were take in all three probes. T
