DAQ Subprojects

• pulse-counting DAQ (I have it, I just haven't had time to play with it yet.)

Analysis Subprojects

• library: make TTreeRaw for new data-structure -- improvements?
  -- infrastructure for running scripts with different options

• triggered mode which records N subsequent samples

 DAQ:
Kabir works with DAQ software, Kabir will be at ornl after oct 7 for longer time
He needs to learn how daq of NPDGamma works.
Michael has a student for online analysis development
DAQ should be available for testing at the end of year

ADCs
seppo has sent a contract to system to move funds to UKy for buying a digitizer
Novikov: Western Kentucky will buy RAID array with the largest disk but with fewer disks
The experiment will collect data some 16Tb.

Kabir learned from Esti how to control the ADC cards.
Sometime soon we need to decide how to synchronize events from different cards. Let's do it the same way as NPDG.
UKy waiting for subcontract from ORNL to purchase the 5 digitizer boards.
We need to converge on the analog bandwidth (low pass filter setting).

- Kabir is getting ADC to work and has measured again ADC bit noise about 4 ADC bits
- Nadia is ordering Control computer (so ordered, latest arrival date 11/18)
- Seppo is ordering Bridge computer with 2 Ethernet cards
- we need to agree what the ADC clock frequency we are going to use (NF: Starting with 10kHz, samples every 100us, 4/tbin, 41 tbins, 16.4ms)
- Proposed header structure:
(0) Integrity info (a la 0123ABCD)
(1) pulse # (referencing start of run)
(2) time stamp (seconds since 1970)
(3) us time stamp
(4) clock cycle #
(5) Integrity info (a la 0123ABCD)
This is only 6 entries. David suggests we have enough space to add stuff later. I suggest space for 16 (10 spares)
